No real excuse for my 2+ month hiatus - outside the fact that it’s cold & I haven’t been really shopping. The season has run its course for me…I love a good temperature change but tire of it quickly (probably should work on this).
I’m mentally so ready for a new season, yet I haven’t worn my fall / winter buys ENOUGH to say I got my moneys worth. The 10+ new sweaters are haunting me but hey - here’s to doing better this spring!
I figure since we’re all pretty much staying on the “saving money” & “being more intentional” train, I’m going to start posting a handful of things I’m coveting weekly. This way it’s not TOO overwhelming AND scratches the itch, temporarily.
First things first - during a recent insta q&a, I was asked if I wear any jewelry (probably because you can barely see any from my zoomed out #ootd) so I thought to address it further here. I have a specific approach to jewelry as my minimal style continues to narrow down with each day. My short answer is that I do, I’m just really gearing to timeless pieces and slowly working on my collection.
I’ve been stalking Dorsey for good lab-grown diamond tennis pieces AND decided on this dainty little bracelet. I went with the 3mm in the 6.5 length (so that it could flow on its own / pair with a watch) and its safe to say, its a lifer. I cannot express how impressed I am with the quality and weight, and already added the matching necklace to my wish list.
Still on the topic of jewels, I do love me a statement earring . This is an area where I like to have fun. And when I say fun, I like something that transcends through time. I recently got these earrings from Aureum and have worn twice this week already (once casually with sweatpants but sadly didn’t make it to the camera roll). This particular pair just screams 90’s Princess Di, and in my case, SOLD. Also - you can use LILY20 for a discount!
Last summer, I saw this Dôen dress go viral & sell out instantly. I couldn’t forgive myself for having it in my cart and letting it slip away. I was heading to Europe myself and this dress was EXACTLY what I needed. I got my hands on the white, but it just wasn’t the same - and also very see through. BUT, it’s now back in stock, in my closet and I can sleep at night. I highly recommend this dress for your travels, or any summer fun. It is slightly sheer, not going to lie, but worn with the right under garments - perfection. I like it off the shoulder a little, and paired with a wrap up black sandal or even a mesh ballet flat…
Insert said mesh ballet flat. I wasn’t sold on this trend for a hot minute until I saw this shape. I’ve seen them to be the most flattering & I like this price point way better than whats out there. I’m also into these with an almost oversized cargo pant & a basic white tee for what will be my summer uniform.
A girlfriend of mine showed up to lunch in this stunning black leather bag with extra long top handles. I immediately thought ‘wait, I didn’t know the Row made this style!?!’. An hour later, I was served an ad on IG and to find it retails $258, I quickly added to cart and the rest is history.
Un-fashion related: I’ve attended my share of weddings / showers / house warming / holiday events, you name it this past year and I’m always looking for ‘off registry gifts’. I came across this set of 4 champagne flutes, and now instantly need them for myself. Is it too late to have a house warming party two years later? Asking for a friend : )
& that’s a wrap! Lmk if you have any link requests & I’m on it! xx LA
So happy you're back!
Can you share some sunglasses you recommend? I need some new ones and have no idea what's cool right now 😅
