Throughout the year, my style feels - polished, minimal & elevated. I usually keep things simple; I aim for classic silhouettes & live within a balance of refined structure and clean lines. BUT let me tell you, when the weather starts warming up, things immediately start feeling FLUID.
My hair is long and stringy (while giving Rachel Green - when she comes back from Greece), the tan is tanning, statement accessories start making an appearance & effortless becomes my main objective.
Over the years, I have made a point to not deviate too far from my true core with each season - yet, I do try to spice it up in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I find getting too “gimmiky” and jumping onto trends for a one time wear isn’t ideal. Instead, I feel that basics, a few great investment cover ups, and the right, timeless accessories create a cocktail of summer style essentials that will come handy year after year.
I’ve listed a few personal pieces & moments I find myself gravitating towards during the warmer months to refresh my summer wardrobe /

- SHELLS ;
an aesthetic in itself. Careful, this can border *slightly* cheesy if not done appropriately. I just ordered the following necklace, as well as this (love the longer lengths & how they drop down the chest - ethereal & not in a boho way). I’ve had these earrings (in silver) for two summers now & I get stopped everywhere - highly recommend adding to any vacation look. This caught my eye, AND, quite possibly the coolest piece I own, this show stopping necklace - in silver only.
- MERMAID SEQUINS ;
okay - this is a VERY specific type of sequin look & again, has to be done properly. Right now, I am loving bags adorned with said sequins, like so (just ordered), and I have seen pieces like this skirt, though my size is never in stock : / Basically it’s a variation of iridescent sequins, often times mixed with beads, sometimes even pearls, and so on.
They feel less “flashy” and read more “subtle”. Here are a few more pieces that fit the bill: this piece of art that is a top, I’d wear this as a bride for my bachelorette, a HOT bikini, although black, but these heels work, or this dress that I come back to every month with an excuse to pull the trigger.
- WHITE LACE / EYELET / CROCHET ;
etc, etc. You know this well, it’s the flow-y not-so-see-through dress that has the daintiest floral patterned eyelet cut outs that say “find me at the locals only beach”. Whimsical, airy, and a touch of romantic, these silhouettes epitomize the feeling of summer, and date back to a glorified, retro time in Europe that we still seek this day.
Honorable mentions here include: this crochet tote, a dress everyone needs, a great crochet top, the viral skirt I just grabbed, a set I purchased a while back & cannot wait to wear - top & skirt, another skirt option, a speciality set - top & skirt, a sweet cardigan for summer nights, a crochet head scarf, and a top I ordered in the wrong size (too small, like it oversized) so waiting for the small to return : )
*a summer playlist I made & have on repeat*
- SCARF TOPS ;
big fan here, they scream summer & are so flattering. You do have to go braless, and you may have to adjust a little throughout the wear but well worth it! I own this piece, but this & this are also stunning options.
- ETHEREAL JEWELS ;
there’s a huge wave of accessories, primarily jewelry, made of unique beads / stones that are simplified by pairing them back to laid back, black cords as a chain - making them easier to wear for a more casual, almost 90’s vibe. I came across this red combo that I found to be divine & the price point was even better. Helen Byrne posted this Etsy small business seller who makes these belts - say less. Casa Ayllón just truly gets it, and this ring & necklace are in my cart. Lastly, I’ve been eyeing these bag chains, but I reallyyyyyyy need to chill.
